LEAD CHILD CARE WORKER
@ Outpatient/FSAT
(Part-time: 3 to 12 hrs/wk)
Position Summary:
The Lead Child Care Worker provides leadership to childcare workers ensuring groups are successful while family members participate in mental health services by coordinating childcare workers for specific group(s) session. Including preparation of activities, set-up and food to be provided during the group session.
Education/Experience Required:
A typical background for the person who can fulfill the duties of this position is as follows:
- One year of experience working with children in a group childcare setting,
- Or experience and demonstrated ability working with children with challenging behaviors.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Demonstrated skills of working with children in groups.
- Demonstrated ability of interacting and supervising children including those with challenging behaviors.
- Ability to use reasonable and independent judgment with care of children.
- Demonstrated ability to intervene with child behavior escalation.
- Values working in a multicultural/diverse work environment.
- Communicates effectively both orally and in writing with a broad variety of people, including staff, supervisors and management.
- Able to provide visual and auditory supervision of children in care.
- Works effectively as a team member.
- Maintains appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality.
- Regularly attend scheduled shifts, be punctual for scheduled shifts and meetings, and be in a condition suitable for assuming responsibilities of position.
- Exercises tact, discretion, and judgment in working with a variety of people.
- Stays calm and emotionally available in an environment serving emotionally disturbed youth.
- Stays awake and alert throughout assigned shift.
Other Requirements:
- Bloodborne pathogen training is required on first day of employment.
- If driving for work-related purposes, must have current driver’s license for state of residency and meet Morrison driving requirements. If driving personal vehicle, must provide proof of auto liability insurance. If driving personal vehicle 3 times a week or more (frequent driver) must have and maintain personal auto liability coverage at $100,000/$100,000 level. All drivers must be approved to drive for Morrison.
- Must pass criminal history check.

Salary/Benefits:
$9.50 to $10.50 per hour depending on experience.
