CHILD CARE WORKER
@ Child and Family Outpatient Services
(Part-time: 12 to 24 hrs/wk)
Position Summary:
Provide regular child care services to siblings in order for other family members to participate in groups. Responsibilities include organizing structured age-appropriate recreational activities for children (infants-12 years old).
Hours: Monday through Thursday 2:30pm to 5:30pm. Child care for parent groups as available.
Education/Experience Required:
A typical background for the person who can fulfill the duties of this position is as follows:

One year of experience working with children, preferably in a child care setting.
We consider education, training, experience and demonstrated skills.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Able to provide visual and auditory supervision of children in care.

Regularly attend scheduled shifts, be punctual for scheduled shifts and meetings, and be in a condition suitable for assuming responsibilities of position.

Exercises tact, discretion, and judgment in working with a variety of people.

Stays calm and emotionally available in an environment serving emotionally disturbed youth.

Stays awake and alert throughout assigned shift.

Must pass criminal history check.

Bloodborne pathogen training is required on first day of employment.

Position may require personal transportation. If driving a personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license for state of residency, personal auto liability insurance, and a driving record permitting coverage under corporate auto liability policy.
